ViVA artists, themes and programs
How are ViVA artists and themes selected?
Our Executive Director and Chief Curator consults with a nationwide network of curators, arts administrators, college and university professionals, scholars and artists to develop ViVA’s roster of artists and relevant themes. Our artists are formally invited to participate in ViVA’s program. Themes are selected to align with ViVA’s mission and values.
What is included in a ViVA talk?
A ViVA engagement includes a 50-90-minute talk and dialogue with a contracted artist. To ensure our clients are able to make the most of their time with a chosen artist, we will send educational materials developed by our team of educators and experts. These include sample discussion questions, annotated bibliography, select video links, and other resources to be used by teachers or event organizers in preparing for their ViVA talk.
How much does a ViVA talk cost?
ViVA was formed to streamline the process, remove perceived barriers, and reduce the cost of a traditional in-person speaking engagement. ViVA has a set all-inclusive price of $950 per talk. 50% is due when the contract is signed and the balance will be invoiced the week of your event. If you need additional support in planning your talk we can provide assistance from our team of experienced educators and experts at a rate of $175 per hour, invoiced the week of your event.
Payments may be sent to: ViVA, P.O. Box 123, Gambier, OH 43022 or you may pay by calling us with your credit card.
